St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe - Baroque Home Altar

St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe was born in Poland in 1894 and entered the Order of Friars Minor Conventual at a young age. Deeply devoted to the Virgin Mary, he dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel and promoting Marian devotion throughout the world.

Driven by missionary zeal, he founded the Militia of the Immaculata, an international movement dedicated to spreading the Christian faith through prayer, publications and missionary activity.

During World War II he was arrested and deported to Auschwitz. There he performed the act that made him known throughout the world: he voluntarily offered his life in place of a husband and father condemned to death. His sacrifice remains one of the most powerful examples of Christian charity.

Canonized by St. John Paul II, he is honored as the Martyr of Charity. His witness continues to inspire millions of believers and reminds us that love is stronger than hatred.

This elegant representation is displayed within a magnificent Baroque home altar, enriched with decorative details inspired by European sacred art. It is ideal for creating a prayer corner within the home.

The altar is crafted from maple or lime wood and hand-painted by artisans from the Val Gardena - Dolomites, renowned worldwide for their centuries-old tradition of sacred woodcarving.
