Mary Mystical Rose with Star Halo

The Mary Mystical Rose with Star Halo is a refined wooden sculpture dedicated to the Virgin Mary according to the devotion of Rosa Mystica. This Marian representation is distinguished by three roses, traditionally depicted in white, red and golden-yellow and placed upon the Virgin's breast.

The three roses are the distinctive iconographic symbols of Rosa Mystica: the white rose symbolizes the spirit of prayer, the red rose the spirit of sacrifice and the golden-yellow rose the spirit of penance. Together they give the figure a profound spiritual and devotional meaning.
