Our Lady of Guadalupe - Home Altar is inspired by the Marian apparitions reported in 1531 to Saint Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill near present-day Mexico City.
According to tradition, the Virgin appeared bringing a message of faith, hope and consolation. The miraculous image left on Juan Diego's tilma became one of the most important symbols of Christianity in the Americas.
This sculpture is designed as an elegant home altar, creating a special place for prayer and Marian devotion within the home.
At the feet of the Virgin are two kneeling angels in adoration, emphasizing the sacred character of the composition and enhancing its spiritual beauty.
