The Our Lady of Lourdes with Star Halo is a refined wooden sculpture dedicated to one of the best-known and most venerated Marian apparitions in the world. The figure represents the Virgin Mary who appeared to Saint Bernadette Soubirous at Lourdes in 1858, following the traditional iconography associated with the famous French sanctuary.

Mary is depicted with a gentle and contemplative expression, her hands joined in prayer and wearing gracefully flowing garments. The representation recalls the apparitions at the Grotto of Massabielle and the words with which the Virgin identified herself to Bernadette: “I am the Immaculate Conception.”

The figure is enhanced by a star halo made of silver-plated brass. The luminosity of the silver-plated metal creates an elegant contrast with the carved wood and symbolically emphasizes the heavenly glory, purity and dignity of the Virgin Mary.

The sculpture is available in different sizes and artistic finishes and, depending on size and version, is carved from maple wood or lime wood. The star halo is made of silver-plated brass.
