The Assumption Madonna with Star Halo in Silver-Plated Brass – Home Altar represents the Virgin Mary raised to the glory of Paradise, one of the most important mysteries of the Christian faith. The scene expresses the victory of eternal life and Mary’s full participation in the glory of her Son.

On the Virgin’s head is a precious star halo in silver-plated brass composed of twelve stars. This symbol recalls the vision described in the Book of Revelation: “a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.” The twelve stars traditionally represent the Twelve Tribes of Israel, the Twelve Apostles and the entire People of God.
