Camel Driver for the Nativity Scene

The Camel Driver is a distinctive wooden figure from the Bergland Nativity, designed to enrich the representation of the Three Kings' caravan on its long journey to Bethlehem.

The figure depicts a camel handler, one of the characters traditionally associated with the entourage of the Magi. Placed beside camels and other animals of the caravan, he brings additional life, movement and detail to the Nativity scene.

In the Nativity tradition, the journey of the Three Kings evokes their passage from the East to Bethlehem, following the star to Baby Jesus. Figures such as the camel driver help expand this part of the scene and create the impression of an entire caravan travelling toward the Nativity.

The Camel Driver can be combined with camels with or without packs, the Three Kings, horses, elephants and other figures from their entourage to create an evocative setting for the journey of the Magi.

All figures within the same Bergland Nativity series are proportioned to one another, allowing the scene to be gradually expanded while maintaining harmonious proportions between the different figures.

Crafted according to the traditional woodcarving heritage of the Val Gardena - Dolomites, the Camel Driver is available in different sizes and artistic finishes depending on the selected version.
