Shepherd with Lamb for the Nativity Scene

The Shepherd with Lamb is a traditional wooden figure from the Bergland Nativity, designed to enrich the Nativity scene with one of the most representative characters of the Christmas story.

The shepherd is depicted together with his lamb, immediately recalling the simple pastoral life of the shepherds and their close relationship with their flock. The composition brings a natural touch to the scene and harmonizes beautifully with the Holy Family, sheep and other shepherd figures.

According to the Gospel account, the shepherds were among the first to receive the announcement of the birth of Jesus and to travel to Bethlehem to worship him. In the Nativity scene they therefore represent simplicity, humility and openness to the message of Christ's birth.

The lamb adds further meaning to the figure and makes this shepherd particularly suitable for creating scenes depicting the flock and pastoral life around the stable or Nativity setting.

All figures within the same Bergland Nativity series are proportioned to one another and can be combined with the Holy Family, other shepherds, sheep, Three Kings, animals and angels to create a complete and harmonious Nativity scene. This model is supplied without a base.

Crafted according to the traditional woodcarving heritage of the Val Gardena - Dolomites, the Shepherd with Lamb is available in different sizes and artistic finishes depending on the selected version.
