Campfire Group for the Nativity Scene – Complete Camp Scene

The Campfire Group is a characteristic wooden composition from the Bergland Nativity, depicting a moment of everyday pastoral life with shepherds gathered around a fire during the night.

The group consists of three elements: Fire-Tending Shepherd, Reclining Shepherd and Campfire. Together, they form the complete Bergland Camp Scene group, a harmonious composition that adds atmosphere and storytelling to the Nativity landscape.

The Fire-Tending Shepherd is depicted keeping the fire burning, while the Reclining Shepherd rests nearby. The Campfire forms the center of the composition, connecting the two figures in a natural and lively scene.

The scene evokes the night in Bethlehem, when shepherds were watching over their flocks before receiving the angels' announcement of the birth of Jesus. The fire symbolizes warmth, shelter and companionship in the simplicity of pastoral life.

The Campfire Group is ideal for anyone wishing to recreate the complete camp scene without selecting its individual elements separately. It can be combined with sheep, other shepherds and animals to create an even richer and more realistic pastoral setting.

All figures within the same Bergland Nativity series are proportioned to one another, allowing the scene to be expanded while maintaining harmonious dimensions and the traditional woodcarving character of Val Gardena - Dolomites.
