The Shepherd with Lambs is a traditional wooden figure from the Original Bergland Nativity, depicting a scene inspired by the simplicity and authenticity of pastoral life.

The presence of the lambs beside the shepherd emphasizes the bond of care and protection between the shepherd and his flock. The composition brings warmth and a natural character to the Nativity scene and is ideal for creating a charming pastoral setting around the birth of Jesus.

Shepherds have a particularly meaningful place in the story of Christ's birth: they were among the first to receive the angels' announcement and to travel to Bethlehem. In the Nativity scene they therefore symbolize simplicity, faith, humility and openness.
