Campfire for the Nativity Scene

The Campfire is a characteristic wooden element of the Bergland Nativity, ideal for enriching the Christmas scene with a detail inspired by the everyday life of the shepherds.

Together with the Fire-Tending Shepherd and the Reclining Shepherd, the Campfire forms the Camp Scene group. The three elements can be arranged together to create an evocative pastoral scene with the shepherds gathered around the fire during the night.

The fire forms the heart of the camp and brings warmth and realism to the composition. This small detail helps recreate the everyday world of the shepherds and adds an atmospheric scene alongside the central Nativity.

The camp scene recalls the night in Bethlehem when the shepherds were watching over their flocks before receiving the announcement of the birth of Jesus. The Campfire therefore becomes a narrative element connecting pastoral life with the Christmas story.

It can be displayed individually or combined with the Fire-Tending Shepherd and Reclining Shepherd to recreate the complete Bergland Camp Scene group. Sheep and other pastoral figures from the same series can be added to further enrich the setting.

All items within the same Bergland Nativity series are proportioned to one another, allowing the scene to be expanded over time while maintaining harmonious proportions and the traditional woodcarving character of Val Gardena - Dolomites.
