Wooden reliefs inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper – a Renaissance masterpiece rich in Christian symbolism and sacred art.
This wooden relief is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s famous mural, painted between 1494 and 1498 for Ludovico il Moro. It portrays Jesus with the twelve apostles at the moment of the Last Supper on Holy Thursday.
The original is located in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. Based on the Gospel of John, it captures the apostles’ emotional reactions to Jesus’ announcement of betrayal. Measuring 4.42 × 9.04 meters, it’s a cornerstone of the Renaissance, known for its perfect central perspective.
Thanks to extensive restoration work, the artwork has survived. Since 1980, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
